Give each person the right responsibility

Start with the work

A counter worker does not need every report. A packer needs to match products and weights. Set permissions after understanding each person’s responsibility.

Keep cost and profit private

Ordinary staff cannot see purchase cost or profit and see their own sales. The owner decides what managers can view and do.

Approve exceptions

Provide an approval path for large discounts, credit sales and other exceptions. Use a counter PIN or an owner request; do not treat bypassing permission as normal.

Another check on cash

Counting actual cash before seeing the expected balance helps capture a real count. Except for the owner, a person cannot approve their own count. Keep a correction history and reason for any difference.
