A regular customer pays part today.
A worked credit-and-deposit example using fictional figures. It illustrates the rules; it is not a measured customer result.
Start with the right customer
Suppose a customer owes ৳1,200 and pays ৳500. With no other adjustments, ৳700 remains due. Record the collection in the fund that received it; collections settle the oldest dues first.

An advance is a different promise
Money left for goods still to come is a deposit. Keep it separate from money the customer owes. Use it for the goods, refund it or retain it as credit through the appropriate workflow.
Before the next credit sale
Review remaining dues, due dates and the credit limit. The customer portal is upcoming; these are shop-side workflows available in the app today.
- Identify the customer correctly.
- Keep the collection receipt and deposit slip distinct.
- Open and send reminders yourself when appropriate.
